Conveyer battery charger

When I was first connected to shore power, battery showed full charge. Now a day latter while being connected shore power the entire time, now the battery only shows a fair charge. This is a new battery.

Help

Don't know what kind of RV you have but is there a battery disconnect switch?

X2 if your batteries are disconnected everything will run normal but the batteries will not charge

Nor would the voltage indicator show a "fair charge".

When you checked the state of the battery ("shows fair charge") was shore power still hooked up ?

If shore power was still connected when you checked then your converter is not working properly and you were running off just battery power.

X2 on the converter. If the leds showed full charge when you stopped and the converter is working there is no way for the battery to discharge while connected. In addition, there would be no way for the condition to drop to fair if the converter were still running since the meter would be measuring converter output and not battery voltage.

Check the breakers and check the output of the converter to see what it is when connected to shore power.
