Any idea how many amps the bed (integrated mattress) heaters would draw on our FR HW 296? Looking into installing a Xantrex 1000 watt inverter so the wife sleeps warm. We have 2 6v AGMs with 300 amp/hr bank currently installed. Not a total thread hijacking...moderately related topic. Appreciate your help.

My bed heater is rated for 120 watts at max. I never run mine above 2 so I probably only use 20% of that, maybe less.

Overnight, 8 hours or so, I'm guessing it would consume around 20 amp hours or so. If i were to use it as you described I'd probably just turn it on and run it for an hour before i go to bed to take the chill off the bedding then shut it off. When weather is really cold i just put an opened up sleeping bag over the regular bedding and turn the furnace down to 60. That's a lot warmer than a lot of nights I've spent in tents over the years and never got cold.
