In rushing to get ready for our first dry camping trip, I went to Cabelas to get a generator. Picked up a Yamaha. Nice and quiet, and I really liked it. However, I wasn't thinking about what size to get and only picked up the 1000 watt (7.5 amp) for our 30 amp trailer.
It worked okay to charge the battery, charge our phones, and run the pump. But it kept tripping every time we wanted to use the Keurig. (I know.. First world glamping problems).
Yes I should have gotten the 2000 watt. Anyone want to trade? [emoji4]
where you from I have a friend looking for one ?
Or maybe use a large inverter to run you Keurig
A 2500 watt inverter will handle the Keurig but neither his battery nor the generator (Even together!) will supply enough juice to run a full brew cycle.

My advice is get a stove top percolator for coffee and keep the lighter genny for charging and put the $avings in your pocket. Lighter weight might save your back too!
It probably won't run your microwave tho.....
How often do you dry camp?? Rarely- you're good to go with my suggestion above.
Often- you probably want a bigger genny.

How big is your battery capacity?
No one is saying you can't; just that the typical single "marine" size 24 battery won't hang in there long enough to make several cups of coffee.
A 1500 Watt inverter will draw 125 amps at rated load.
A typical Keurig will draw 800 watts when heating or 67 amps.
Since most Group 24 Marine batteries have about 70AH of battery life (at 5 AMPS draw), at 67 amps a fully charged battery will reduce a 100% battery to inverter cut out voltage (10.5 volts) in about 15 minutes.
Next time you do this watch your micromonitor display and watch what happens to the "voltage idiot lights" as the coffee brews.
Remember also you must recharge your battery when the "Good" light goes out (50% discharged) in order to prevent permanent battery capacity loss.

I believe it will require at least a 3000 watt genset to handle the air cond.
With the old 30 amp Durango we had before, our 3000 watt genset would handle it okay, but if we wanted to make coffee, I had to disable the compressor in the Ac unit until we had our coffee. Then unplug the coffee pot before turning the Ac back on. Same with the microwave or other heavy power use appliances.

Keurig coffee is over rated use a malita with filter, that way you can get the cup of joe you like at 15% the cost, unless you go gourmet, then your only saving 70% per cup. Just sayin'
