Just to make sure you found out right, a correct 30 amp supply to an RV is 110/120 volt.........and never 240 volt.

It's when people hook their RV's up to a 220/240 volt 30 amp outlet, that all kind of things get burned up.

Electricians sometimes scare me with what they do not know!

This pdf file that shows how to correctly wire a 30 amp outlet is stored in our FAQ section here as well as at it's original site of http://www.myrv.us/electric/index.htm

It's a great handout to give an electrician. I suggest you print it out and give it to this electrician so he can learn.

FYI, we have had several electricians wire the 30 amp outlet wrong and mess up other members RV's. It's happened several times just in the last year.

No question is dumb, if you don't know, you don't know. Always better to ask.
