elec panel ident. help please.

all the papers that came with this ROCKWOOD MINILITE 2309S does not identify the BROWN 40 amp fuses....also...I have a chance at a campsite at oskosh for 6 days during the july 20-26 EAA airshow, it only has a 120v 20 amp campsite left...looking at my panel I see the ac has 20amp breaker....will this run my ac do you think as long as I don't run the microwave or any other draw at the same time ?.......
that 7.5 dc fuse labeled ac....what would that be...thermostat?

Those are reverse polarity fuses that protect the converter in case you ever hook up your battery backwards. It happens more than you think.

Uhh, it actually states what those fuses are for, right above them....just not that it's for the converter.

got an answer for one of my q's...had TT plugged into a 20 breaker service at the house and after awhile with the ac on, the house breaker opened. the TT breaker never opened tho.... maybe caused by a not heavy enough 75ft extension cord....anyway will pass on that space at Oshkosh.

There are other things on when plugged into shore power ( convertor charging battery, Co detector, fridge and furnace control boards). In addition, when the AC starts after the initial start it usually had a pressure head ( remaining from last run) that the compressor has to overcome. This causes a higher than normal current draw. You should be OK at the 20A site if you do not run the AC and manage the other larger appliances.

deebarjay - I'm heading back up to Oshkosh on Friday. Hope my trailer weathered the storms it looked like they had last night. Where are you in Camp Scholler?

Will do if I get a chance. Nice looking unit. I work at the Assistance Center at Main Gate so I'm busy a lot of the day.
