Your camper should be equipped with a power cord. Unless you are asking about plugging in fans, lights or electric grills. Long cords are more important than having a large wire.

It should. Most campground s have both 30 and 50amp service. But some only have 30amp. I am assuming your trailer is 30amp so you should not have a problem. But if it is 50 amp always carry a 50 to 30 amp adapter just in case

Your unit comes with a power cord use that to plug it in, If you want to run some fans or lights outside or anything just carry a 12/3 25' cord then you can plug that into your outlet outside your camper wall or directly into a 20 amp supplied by the CG in the box that you will plug your 30 amp cord supplied by the Manufacturer for power..... You will understand as soon as you see one.

Most RV service/parts sales have the "proper" reducer to plug a 30/50amp connection to a 15/20amp service outlet. This should only be used for storage, no AC running as this will melt just about everything and could cause a brown out on your RV. Very bad things happen during under power events.

This is your 30 amp cord attached to your camper. It will plug into a power pedestal at the campground.

This is an adapter that you can use at 'home' to plug into your home power of a 15amp plug in. Do not use your AC at home when using the 15 amp adapter. It will blow a circuit breaker on that line.

Not to sound like a wise guy,but weren't you shown the power cord that should have been included with your TT on your Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI).

Not sure where that is stated - his #1 post said it was his first trip out,but nothing about it being used.

OP will definitely need an extension cord capable of carrying 30 amp. At minimum, it should be 25' and preferably 50'.

I went back and re-read the OP's question.

From what I understand, he is wanting to know does his power cord plug into the power pedestal?

I don't see anything about an extension cord.

Oh, to be young again!

I agree, but seeing as how it is his first trip out, it was just a suggestion from my own experience of the trailer power cord can be too short on many occasions. Excuse me for anticipating a potential problem for a 1st time user.

He probably could use some awning pole tie downs as well!

I think he came to the right place to learn about the camping business, if we can only get him to stay ONLINE!

We're like Radio Shack, we've got answers but we need the questions first.
