Electric operation battery bypass and charging?

My coachman Mirada ( 2008) has had some issues with no power to run slides and now is fine, but I want to know if anyone can explain why so I don't do whatever I did that time. Bypass is a spring switch, I hear the selonoid and light comes on and goes off like it should when unplugged. When I am on home electric the light is allways on no matter how many times I switch it???

Your profile says you have a Coachman but not what kind.
Is it a Motorhome or travel trailer?

Thanks for the chuckle. Its a Mirada 350 ds bunkhouse class A anyone got one? Production in 2007 was whatever was left in the factory and 08 was forest rivers first year. I have some of 07 stuff then cant find any manuals for the new stuff. I have seen manuals for '07 but not '08
