Electrical 50amp cord from rv

Can an electrical cord still be safe if the ground plug has been pulled out by the surf protector? 50amp

We placed the metal piece back into the plug and plugged into an extension cord (50amp) and plugged that into the receptical at our house!

Why not??? We all used power for decades without the ground terminal.

I'm assuming that you would be facing a situation here where there was no immediate alternative to affect a ground terminal repair. I'm also assuming that you would want to repair the ground terminal just as soon as possible --- but, in a pinch, what would happen if you did use the cord??

you can buy replacement ends if you don't want to get a whole cord

your house is grounded to earth with a long rod into the ground. Your RV is not, it's sitting on rubber tires
