Electrical Panel

Here is a picture of my electrical panel. It's 50 amp and one side has

Converter
AC
Water heater

The other side has

AC2
Gen
GEN
Microwave.

Question is what the heck is GEN? I don't have a generator and I can't imagine what this circuit is for it does have a wire hooked up to it... And I don' know where it goes or what it does.

Any ideas?

First one is GENeral receptacles. Second one isn't GEN, it's GFI, as in GFCI receptacles. General is basically all inside receptacles that aren't GFCI and typically this has your refrigerator as well. GFCI should be kitchen, bath, and outside receptacles.

That actually makes sense AND I can check it. I find out tomorrow.

Eureka, that's it. The GEN circuit is the outlets that are not in the kitchen or bath...

Only way to know for sure is to test each outlet and label them. We found the two outlets in the kitchen on either side of the stove are on the Gen breaker, however they are both GFI outlets. Both outlets on the kitchen island, the one in the bath room and the two outside outlets are on the GFI breaker.

In my case it is the rear outlet in the living room, both TV's and the dressing area in the front of the bedroom that are on the GEN circuit.
