Are those 2 red fuses side by side, that appear to be 40 amp, good fuses?

If your battery is reading 13.6 back to the converter that only had 5.5 before, then your resettable fuse is good. Remove the #6 red wire and white wires from the converter that comes from the battery then read the voltage on the converter.

With battery disconnected I have no lights. Only the gas detector has a red light on. I’ve followed the wires all the way to the front and look everywhere and there is no re set table fuse

find the converter circuit breaker and turn it off then on. Again, did the two 40 amp side by side fuses check ok? What was the voltage one the converter with the wires disconnected?

Instead taking to wires off I disconnected the battery simply because I can’t find my Allen key to do it. Anyways it’s reading 7.7v

Your current one is a 55 amp, the free one is a 45 amp. Personally I would upgrade to the equivalent Progressive Dynamics 55 amp.
