Electrical question

I have a 2015 saq365. I want to install a Fan-Tastic fan in the front bedroom. The unit came pre wired for a 2nd AC, I took the decorative cover of the ceiling vent, I found the outlet for the ac along with the thermostat wires. I dug as deep as I could but I can't find a 12 volt source for a Fantastic Fan. I'm not sure if I should pull 12 volts off the ceiling lights, If that wiring is heavy enough. I don't want a overload. Any input is very helpful. Thanks

Lots of have people posted that they've used the closest light.

Another alternative is to find the other end of the thermostat wiring, hook it up to 12 VDC somehow and use that.

Is there a thermostat already prewired for the optional AC ?

Yes there is, The 120 outlet, thermostat wire and temp sensor wire. It,s actually tied into the main thermostat with 2 zones

I'd spend the $700.00 and just put an a/c unit up there.
Your a 1/4 the way there buying a fantastic fan!

So you could probably disconnect those wires from the main thermostat and tie them into the 12VDC and ground that supplies the thermostat, if yours works that way. (My Coleman Mach t-stat has both a 12VDC and a ground wire.) Then just wire the fan to the ends at the roof vent.

I have to agree with Turbs. I'd spend the extra few dollars and go ahead with the A/C.
