electronic help

Own a 2007 Rockwood 2603 and would appreciate any help possible with the following electrical problem.
When trailer is plugged into power source it has power to outlets and microwave, but nothing else including lights, ref., slideout, etc.
When not plugged into power source, there is not any power to trailer including outlets and microwave.
Checked fuses and replaced batteries with the exact same results.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

The things that you describe as not working are 12VDC. I am guessing that the battery is dead. with dead battery the battery charger is not able to get the battery to a level high enough to get any power to the light and other. Leave the trailer plugged in for 24 hours to see if charger will bring the battery up and check again.

first, you have two different electrical systems, 110vAC and 12vDC.
your outlets and microwave ONLY work when you're plugged into shore power.
your lights and slideout work on battery power.
your fridge will work on both but you have to change the fridge button to AC or DC. if you still have it set on battery power, then it won't work if the battery is dead.

second, either your battery is dead or the charger part of your converter is bad.
or the resettable 12v breaker along the trailer tongue, is tripped. this usually happens when someone crosses the battery wires and trips the breaker, usually when re-installing the battery.

This could be as simple as the battery switch is turned off. Always check the obvious.

Even with battery storage switch set to off the converter should still power the 12v items with shore power applied.

It sounds like a converter problem to me, google your model and it will tell you how to check the converter with a meter. That is where I would start. Even with a new battery, it has to go through the 12v side of the converter. is your CO detector working? that will not be hooked to your converter, it will be hooked to the batteries.
