Don't reverse input and output. It's easy to get confused after you take the cover off but when you put the cover on the labels are pretty much right over where it's corresponding wire enters the box.

You're looking for a 10/2 romex line. Color coding began around 2001 so yours should be orange. I had a cabinet next to my panel, and enough extra romex to put it there.

I used standoffs when I mounted it to the floor, the bottom of the case gets a bit warm.

Also, before you run your remote wire for the display, hook it up and make sure it works... My first data cable was bad, had to re-fish a new one thru the floor.
