We have gone thru all the settings and still only get audio. Even sent unit back to dealer to discover hook ups were not connected. Dealer assumed they fixed problem but since the don't have satellites they couldn't check. We can watch over air tv and DVD just can't get video for satellite .
The Genesis is a sound system with built in DVD player. Although it will switch video it will only do it with the composite video inputs and output through EITHER the composite or HDMI outputs,
This is not optimum for HD or even decent over the air or satellite.
I connect the HDMI on the Genesis to the HDMI input on the TV.
For Satellite, I would connect the Satellite to the TV and NOT the Genesis.
Output the audio out on my TV to the audio input on the Genesis to get surround (or surround-like) audio (depending on the source).
This can be as simple as a red/white stereo RCA plug cord or with a TOSLINK fiber optic cable if you TV has TOSLINK fiber optic output instead.
