Looks like your fix is generating a lot of interest!

Tried resetting ours a few minutes ago .... did not fix it [emoji25]! Monitor still will not power on, slides still not moving! Guess our trip will. E cancelled and we'll be manually rolling in the slides!

Ours died this weekend on our 2nd trip, and it was already replaced once before our PDI. When I press reset it lights the water pump light, then back to just power and no response.

I opened the relay module that was behind my fireplace and manually jumpered to save the trip.

Looks like these control panels might be problems. Glad now mine doesn't have it.

Our 2014 832IKBS has the toggle switches. If one fails, you don't need to replace the whole panel. The tank monitors have never been accurate on any RV unless you get the Horst Probes or See Level

I'm scared of this thing now!!! We spent mega $$$'S and have never even got to use it! Forest River needs to seriously fix this issue! I lost our vacation deposit plus it ruined our plans and left us in a really bad mood! I'm sure they don't give a rats behind!!

I want the old toggle switches back, could care less about Bluetooth!!!

Forest River won't even call my dealer back regarding recall part so that maybe we can save our next vacation at the end of June!!!

You just can't beat an old--fashioned rocker switch!!

"It’s not always right to retain an old technology just because it works, but by the same token, it’s not always right to adopt a new one simply because it exists."

Frederic D. Schwarz

If push came to shove, you could probably unscrew the panel from the wall and jury-rig some real rocker switches to the wiring.

It's not the panel with the lights and button that actually does the switching, it is a separate panel connected by an 8 conductor Ethernet type cable, ours is behind the fireplace

Then you're really SOL, unless you can do some jumpering in the other panel.

Mine is working now, could be stupid user error, press and hold the power button on the panel, didn't time it but it felt like over 5 seconds.
I did jumper on the lower panel, at least mine is labeled well.

Check and see if something hit the battery disconnect on the right side of the front compartment.

Same situation here!!!!!

How frustrating is it when you make reservations for a trip, then your brand new 35K rig is broken! These new control panels have some serious issues. Explore RV in Denton just passes the buck and gives out phone numbers. I call the numbers and leave messages, no response thus far.

Apparently the service and warranty side of Forest River products has some major issues. It was a toss up, between the Forest River product and another manufacturer! Bad decision on our part!

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this rig after spending this kind of money. This is a KNOWN issue that Forest River needs to respond to IMMEDIATELY. At this point I am ready to drop this RV off at the dealer and work with my finance company to recover my losses. This 832OKBS is turning in to a nightmare.

In all fairness, I DID receive a call from Jake with the manufacturer. These panels have some common issues. Jake has agreed to send me the replacement parts with the required wiring instructions for the "brain". This also corrects the recent recall regarding the tank level indicators.
In a little better frame of mind about this RV, now. Just like the rest of us, I hate to spend this kind of money for a rig like this and first rattle out of the box, it's broken. The dealers need to work on their people skills a little more. I know this is the busy time of the season, but telling your customer that you are at least 4 to 6 weeks before you can even look at it, is ridiculous. Folks buy these RV's to use with reasonable dependability, especially brand new ones.
I will post an update once the parts are received and I have completed the installation.

I updated my situation on another thread but not this one SORRY!!
I did get numerous call backs & emails from Forest River Service, So I can't complain there!! Why Explore RV Canton had issues getting a response....I don't know! Jake & Fred got parts shipped directly to me and we have an appointment to take it in to be replaced on 6/19!!! Taking it in at 9 and picking it up before closing time!!!! So hoping this fixes this issue and we NEVER have to visit it again.

I think they shouldn't be able to sell a unit if it is currently on the recall list and hasn't been repaired! Our was already on the list and FR said that the dealership should have known it!!! Which they more than likely did but why tell us. Sell, Sell, Sell!!! We are going to be paying close attention to how the service department treats us this go around!
Plus seriously considering Good Sam Emergency membership!

I did have an opportunity to talk to Jake, which helped. He just sent an email saying that the request was made to his parts department to ship.
Looks like the Canton dealer has the same issues as Denton. I know Denton is SWAMPED, but that sure doesn't make the consumer very satisfied. However, having spent most of my life as a mechanic for aircraft and auto, I will do the install myself and avoid the mass confusion and overload at the dealership. I will repost the fix when completed.
Jake said the early production 2017 models with the new style panel will likely be affected, which mine is. I just hope they made a solid correction that will become a permanent fix. I like the new panel, just want it to work properly!
If I had to tell my wife that our trip was off..........instant death. LOL

The panel they sent me looks exactly like the existing panel but they say my problem is a software issue but it was quicker to send all new parts than make me wait my turn for the computer module to update software! I wish we could install it ourselves!! I'm like your wife, I'd kill someone somewhere if I have to cancel my reservations again and make another payment on an unused travel trailer!!!

Received the replacement parts today from Jake. I did the install myself, took about 45 minutes. My processor is located in the bathroom linen closet. A few screws to remove the wood panel, and there it is. I turned off the power to the coach, 12 volt battery and the shore power, then proceeded to wire in the new unit. My experience dealing with circuit boards lends itself to cutting all power prior to working with the unit. Oddly enough, even static electricity from scooting your feet or sliding across a seat, can damage a circuit board. Best to be careful. There is room to remove the old unit and place the new one in place with the screws. Then systematically, move one wire at a time to the new unit. The panels are coded as to what operates what, however you have no way of knowing what features are operated once they enter the wall behind the cabinet, if all the wires are hanging loose. Best to do one at a time. You can complete the entire upgrade with a Philips screwdriver. That also includes replacing the touch pad. The only wire to the touch pad, is an Ethernet cable. It's basically the same as a keyboard is to a computer.
If anyone dislikes taking their RV back to the dealer to address this problem, don't be afraid to do it yourself. I simply couldn't wait 4 to 6 weeks for them to even look at it! Then they would have taken another week or so to get the parts.
If Jake agrees to send you the parts......do it. It works out better for everybody concerned and saves money and time as well.
By the way, the new board already comes with the tank level recall upgrade installed. Killed two birds with one stone.
