Found this by accident

After drilling through the main 10/2 power cable while installing a set of Solid Steps in my '16 Windjammer 3001W I needed to access the void in the little end tables in order to pull a new cable through. After figuring out how to gain access and pulling the panels off I found this little hidden gem. There's a 12 volt breaker for the power stabilizers hidden inside the cabinet behind the switch. If it would have blown there's no way anyone would think to look there for a breaker!

Are you surprised ? It's hard enough sometimes to find the water pump.

Why do you think it's a breaker? From the looks of it, it may be a thermal overload switch and those usually reset themselves. I'm not seeing any way to reset that thing.

I think it's a breaker because it's a breaker. Some are manually re settable, this one is not. And a breaker IS a thermal overload device!

Fuses are also.

This was the comment that threw me: "If it would have blown there's no way anyone would think to look there for a breaker!"

I was wondering if there was a button or lever on the other side of the wall.

Outside, on the side of the trailer?

You are right; its a thermal overload breaker.
It is also an "auto reset" type that will reset once the overload is removed.

When you run the stabs down and hold it, you can hear it pop on overload.
Once you let go of the switch, you can also hear it reset after a moment.

These can fail, but normally from corrosion at the terminal when located outside on the frame.

No, it's not an auto reset breaker nor is it a manual reset breaker. It's an inline, 20 amp 12 volt breaker. Once blown it needs to be replaced.

If it isn't an auto reset, which is hard to tell without checking for numbers on the can because many look identical to the one time use, Can you replace it with some automatic reset ones while it's opened up?

I put the cabinet panels back on with velcro instead of staples so it's easy to get at if it does blow.

Great idea with the velcro, that was smart! The reason I mentioned it's hard to tell if their auto reset is because the auto reset ones I've used have no button at all. They just break the connection if the amp rating is exceeded to open the circuit and then just reset themselves when the overload is gone. I also have the manual ones and those have a little button on them. The automatic reset ones I linked to on Amazon have no button either. They do sometimes go bad, but more often when they're subject to corrosion.

Respectfully disagree.

It is a 6 amp auto-reset breaker; see install instructions attached.

I guess the 20 amp printed on the breaker is a misprint. I call the manufacturer and let them know it should say 6 amp auto reset.

It is not unknown for the plant to use whatever is handy when installing stuff; according to Lippert that puppy should be 6 amps. The 20 amp fuse should be in your power distribution panel.
