He used 7 1/2/. 10, 15, 20 and it blew them all. The cover on the fuses doesn't have any info on what fuse is to what.

Have someone (electric knowledgeable) size ampacity based on wire size. You should never guess and triple the fuse size on conjecture. You may be causing further damage downstream.

Hydraulic pumps are power hogs, so you need to KNOW what size fuse is required for it. I'd suggest calling the mfg. again and ask what size fuse is recommended.

I'd still check all the connections you can find in the circuit and remake or retighten them. A loose connection at a termination will cause high current draw and could cause fuses to blow.

As I said above, if it's not a loose connection it's either the motor or the pump binding.
