Fuse blowing on hitch jack?

Hi all,
Newbie here, with a new TT. We have an electric jack on the hitch that keeps blowing the fuse. We forgot to flip the jack off after using it and when we came back the fuse was blown. Next time, same thing. The last time, I was retracting it and I think it had just hit the top when the fuse blew again. When you put in a new fuse it works for awhile with no issue and then... Any ideas on whether this is common or I need to haul it back to the dealer to have them try to figure out what is causing it to happen.
TIA for any help.

I have the same issue. Currently I have a big pack of 30a fuses. Mine blows as soon as it hits the limit of travel.

Unhappy

Wow. I am really surprised that no one else had any comments on this. Did I post wrong or something?

First thing is not to extend or retract jack to it's maximum limits, hitting the stops, it will blow the fuse as motor stalls and current goes up above fuse rating.....

I was having the same issue where I had to keep replacing the fuse. I even had the jack give out while I was raising it to attach the WDH bars. I took it back to the dealer and had it replaced under warranty...so far so good.

We are having the same problem. Now we don't raise it all the way. We haven't had a problem since.

Thanks all for your input. My hubby has ordered more fuses and we will discuss with our dealer when we take it in next. It says LCI on the cover. We'll also check to see if it's only when it hits the limit. Haven't had a chance to look at it with a meter yet. Thanks for your thoughts!

What size fuse are you using? Maybe someone but the wrong size fuse in? You should not have to not raise the jack or not put a load on it without the fuse blowing. Even when the jack comes to the end of it's travel it should not blow the fuse. When mine started doing this i replaced the jack. Since I use my jack to set the WDH Bars I went even bigger from a 3500 to a 4000lbs.

Why not use a circuit breaker. That is what I put in just in case it does blow it will reset it self they are cheap, and it will fit where the fuse goes.
