Fuses for Ford 450

New owner here. Any thoughts on whether to carry fuses for the Ford 450 chassis and if so, which ones?

Remove a sample from below steering wheel. Take to Walmart and match for size, and buy an assorted kit to match your sample. Never need a spare- until you need one!

Vehicles used to come with spare fuses on the inside of the fuse panel. If its popping fuses, you've got a problem

Anticipatory

I'm just trying to be prepared. There were no extra fuses with the rig or the box.

Heads up , there are 2 fuse boxes on the E450 , one under the hood and 1 below the steering wheel. They use blade fuses 10 amp to 30 amp with 20 amp being the most common.

Fuses for Ford

I bought assorted boxes of 120 volt blade and mini fuses on ebay for about $6 each with shipping. That may be overkill but at the auto stores wanted about that much money for a 10 pack.

Your Ford owner's guide lists the fuses in the "Roadside Emergencies" section.

On our 2010 year model chassis there are actually some unused fuses in the fuse panel under the dash. It's full of fuses and some of them are noted "Not used (spare)"

Be aware that there are several different physical size fuses of the same amperage - mini, standard, and maxi. You may have enough spares under the dash but those spares may not fit in the fuse box under the hood.

Don't forget the fuses in the coach's power distribution panel, in the battery control center (beside the steps?), the in-line fuse for the LP/CO alarm (remove the alarm - it's on the wire). Also, there may be fuses on your 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC convertor.
