Generator

Here is my question..I have a Generic GP5500 watt generator. I believe that I can run my unit (30amp) off this generator if needed. I bought the adapter to plug into the 4 slot on the generator and then I can plug the power cord from the trailer, into the adapter plug. Any help in understanding this set up would help before I try it. Do not want to mess up anything in my unit if it is not this simple.

this is probably already covered if you bought a ready made adapter. the issue is bonding the neutral and the ground leads. most generators do not bound these but the rv wants it. check the adapter to see if it does this. or check to see if the generator does or has an option to do this. if so, good to go
