Also, not sure why the ac quits if you turn the converter off. Is your battery dead or not installed? When the converter is off, the battery should easy run the thermostat.

generator

yes it has a 4 prong twist receptacle I have a 30 amp trailer.I also bought the right size pig tail to go from my cord to the receptacle

In that case you only have 14.5 amps available.

generator problem fixed

I put on a hard start kit and that did not solve the problem.Just so everyone knows I had the cord plugged into the twist lock outlet that said 120-240 volt.I then thought to try plugging it into the 120 volt only outlet and it worked.I ran it for about an hour and it did not trip the breaker

it sure would be nice to have the specs for the generator. I could not find them on-line. the description says 3 output receptacles but I could not find the output amperage of each receptacle. do you have the manual? what does it say about each output receptacle? from what you say it sounds as if the 110 receptacles may have move amperage than the 110/240 receptacle you were using when it is configured to 110. i'm just interested and would like to understand.
