The boliy 3600 would do you just fine to run everything.

Afew questions. Do you plan to power your AC with it? What other appliances do you want to run with it. Is quietness important to you? Answer these and you will get some good responses.

a 13.5BTU air conditioner and the lights. Fridge and water heater will run on the propane tanks. Quietness is semi-important. Want to be able to camp with family at a cabin that will blow if we plug into it.

SMALLEST SIZE - BIGGEST POWER

ONLY $1,199.00

This unit is a manual, or pull start generator. Weighing in at only 68 lbs it has the lowest weight in its class. The compact size makes it the perfect fit for campers, motorhomes, or toy haulers.
The 3600 SI/E is the newest addition to the Boliy family. This model comes with an electric start which allows you to power up the unit with just the touch of a button. Weighing in at only 75 lbs this unit is still lightweight and is the exact same size as the pull start model.
The Boliy 3600SI+ is the perfect generator for everyone! This unit is the smallest in its class which makes storage easy. Plus it is lightweight which makes transportation easy. Finally, it is packed with power! This unit is even powerful enough to run a 15,000 btuh A/C unit.
Boliy generators contain DSP inverter technology which allows the voltage to constantly adjust in order to maintain 120V. These digital generators are fully equipped with unique on-demand smart-throttle which automatically regulates the engine speed according to the load. This results in 40% less fuel consumption when compared to traditional generators. This of course extends running time!
The Boliy generator engine also features a special cylinder coating for strength and efficiency. They also contain a newly designed two-tiered noise dampening system. The result is that the Boliy dB’s emitted are 4- 8 times quieter than conventional generators. This meets the newest noise level standards enforced in many states, municipalities, and parks.

Personally I would look at something around 3000 watts. I had a Yamaha ef2400 that I had mixed results with starting the AC and that was with a soft start capacitor on my AC. I believe it was due to my altitude of 6500 ft. I just replaced it with a Honda eu3000is generator. I am very happy with it. Starts the AC without a hitch with some room to spare. It is extremely quiet and seems to be very fuel efficient. There are numerous generators out there. Honda, Yamaha and Boliy are among the quietest. Honda and Yamaha are spendy but well tested and reliable. I almost bought a Boliy but was scared away at the last minute by a few reviews I read. There are some good reviews on it as well but in the end I went with the Honda. It is hard to find a bad review on them or the Yamaha. I chose the Honda over a comparable Yamaha for a couple reasons. About 20lbs lighter, slightly better DB rating of 49DB verses 53DB rating at 1/4 load, 3 year warranty and about $250 less. You can't go wrong with either one though.

You could get by with 2000 watts and still run microwave, etc. I would recommend listening to a few different ones before deciding. You will get sick of listening to the louder ones in a hurry.

Actually both the Honda and Yamaha 2000 watt generators have dual 20 amp plugs and no twist lock. If it has a twist lock you will need to get an adapter to go to your TT power cord. The Boliy has the standard 30amp RV connection.

The Honda 2000 Companion does have the twist lock.

There are much cheaper options but usually at the expense of quietness. Look at the Champions. Some good reviews on them.

Did you read post #2 and #7? Boily 3600 generator for $1200 and it has a 30 amp plug. It will take care of your needs.

it would help if you gave us an idea of how much you're willing to spend.

the rule is that you have two choices in generators: price or quietness.
you can't have both.

if you aren't in a campground, the Champion 3500 is the best bang for the buck, around $300US. but it's noisy compared to inverter generators.

if you want quiet, it's going to cost you.

A few weeks ago I went to Kansas Speedway and had a chance to hear every type of generator....I came to camp with our Yamaha 2400...that will run the A/C by the way....But had a chance to talk and listen to both Champion units (inverter type and Conventinal) and must say I was impressed. The 3000 unit was not really that bad. However I must say it was overshadowed by the guy with 10,000 generator that was so....so...so loud we had to park trucks in front of it to just be able to hear each other yelling.

I like my Yamaha....it does what we need it to do. I can handle turning the air off for coffee and microwave use and keep the $1,000 I saved in my pocket. Plus I can move it on my own and it fits in my truck with the cover on.

I felt the same way about spending $2-3,000 on an occasional use generator. I just purchased the Dometic 3000 for about $1,000. Runs the 13,500 air with everything but the microwave with no problem and is relatively quiet. Haven't used it camping yet but my test runs have been good.
