Generator stopped running

Hi all,

My Onan 4k generator stopped running while driving home yesterday. The switch at the generator has been blinking on and off steadily for the last 24 hours. I tried retrieving the fault code by pushing the stop button three times, but it just keeps blinking on and off with no noticeable pause between blinks. Nothing happens when I push the start button. I flipped the breaker on the generator several times. Gas level is above 1/4 tank. Generator only has 85 hours on it.

sounds like a bad connection either ground or hot wire. i would check the ground wire to see if it has vibrated loose. and then check to see if you have power at the start solenoid if it is not turning over. if it is turning the engine over but not starting check the fuel pump. from your information this is where i would start.

I would check oil level.
