Heated bed
Does anyone know what the draw is on the heated matresses? I have a little Honda EM500 and was hoping it would work for one bed. I would plug it directly into the generator.
Thank you

you're not allowed to run generators during the night in nearly every campground i know of.
but the heated mattresses don't draw much electricity.
if we dry camp, we usually run the gennie for awhile, right before quiet time and pre-heat the mattress.

Cool thank you. I won't be staying in any campgrounds. All in random camping areas (dry camping). It's cool here in the sping and the heated bed would be nice.

Cool. I will be heading up to Calgary in July if things work out.
Where in or around Calgary would be a nice location for a few days?
I have a Honda EU3000is generator so I can run the AC if it really gets hot or cold.

If you like the mountains then south west of Calgary is very nice for random camping. The place is called Dutch Creek and Livingstone. There is a campground there too if you don't want to rough it. LOL It's about an hour and a half from Calgary. There are a few close to calgary as well but hard to get a big trailer into.

There is also waiporous. It's northwest of Calgary. It's easy to get bigger trailers in there. Also fairly close to banff if one wants to take a day trip there.
Just be aware that there is gravel roads to travel to get to these places FYI

Stay away from Calgary West CG. Stopped there last spring. Water not turned on and no sewer but stilled charged for a full service site. When I went to site they were so narrow that the TT beside me had their slides out and I could not get into the site. If I had driven into the site I would not have been able to extend my slides. I would rate this CG a -2 out of 10

Thank you for that information.
Seems Calgary doesn't have many campgrounds but whatever we do we will enjoy the visit no matter what.

For some werid reason you can't buy a heated mattress in Arizona.
I think it must be against the law or something.
