Hello all...I have a 2011 Flagstaff Forrest River and it has been sitting empty a while. .I went in it to check on things anf noticed that the overhead 12v lights are not working. .as well as the fridge...both had been working. I have checked the fuses and all are intact..the receptacles (plug) works and the micro works. Side note...the exhaust fan over the stove won't work. .but you can hear the fan motor struggling. .HELP PLEASE

All those items are 12 volt and maybe your converter and/or battery to low.

If you battery IS charged up there is a mini breaker close to the battery that may need resetting.

Yes, it sounds like maybe your converter isn't functioning. The converter takes 120 volt AC power and converts it to 12 volt DC power to provide power to the 12 volt things in your RV. The converter also recharges your battery. Your battery will provide power to the 12 volt DC stuff when you are not plugged into 120 volt shore power.

If the converter isn't working, and your battery is discharged, then the 12 volt stuff will not function, but the 120 volts AC stuff will (microwave, outlets, air conditioner)

Here is a better link and explanation.

Side question. Have you replaced or hooked/unhooked your battery lately (or have a battery installed). The reason I ask is it's common to hook the battery cables backwards and blow the reverse polarity fuses on the converter.

This recent thread on blown reverse polarity fuses for the converter may help:

I went ahead and moved this thread from the welcome mat subforum, to the more appropriate electrical subforum.

What is your battery voltage, with your shore power (120 volt) unplugged? Have you checked the batteries? Do they look in good shape? No sign of leaks, bulges, corrosion?
