Interstate battery capacity ?

My dealer installed an Interstate Battery SRM-24

I am trying to figure out how many amps it provides ?

The specs are from the datasheet. Not sure how to read these:

Anyone with ideas ?

the battery is not a true deep cycle battery, it's a dual purpose battery. see the CCA rating or cold cranking amps, that's for starting an engine.

Are you wondering how long you can use this battery before charging? Not long, I'm afraid. Not a problem if you never plan to dry camp, though.

The most useful figure for this multi-use battery is the RC, which is defined as the number of minutes a fully-charged battery at 80 degrees Fahrenheit can be discharged at 25 amps before getting down to 10.5 amps for a 12v battery. At that point, the battery needs to be charged.

The "MCA" is a marine cranking amp rating and the "CCA" is a cold cranking amp rating. These figures are not useful for your Shamrock 19 as these are used for starting applications.

Not sure how to calculate the 20-hr rating that would be used to compare true deep cycle batteries. Most deep cycle group 24s will give 70-85 amp hours

Not knowing any better last year that is what I got with my trailer,

Now I know, and yes you are right - it's a marine battery 1st, RV last,

With that in mind, how many amps does it provide ?

If I try to understand the specs, could it be a measly 16.4 X 5 = 82 ??

That leaves me with a paltry 41 ?

If that is the case, that is the pits...

Agreed.

Plan to replace it if you intend to spend any time off the grid. Many people use dual 6v batteries such as the 105. That would take your reserve way up.

Actually at 140 minutes at 25amps that aint a bad deal! 25amp is a lot of draw in a camper if you are conservitive!

True. You're the best one to know your usage.

But give yourself some wiggle room. In the real world its best to subtract some of that capacity (~20%) because of system losses, lower temps and you won't want to drain the battery too much too often.
