Does anyone know where the inverter is located on a 2004 Cardinal?
Bought it used but no books with it./

Pretty sure you mean CONVERTER, not inverter.
All RVs come with a converter but few come with an inverter, mostly only motorhomes.

IDK, but the converter is frequently located just a short wire run from the power entrance. So check is any closet, cupboard or panel on the inside, near where the shore power cord comes into the camper.

Do you know what model Cardinal you have?

As others have stated, if it is the converter you are seeking, then it's many times located below or very near the power distribution center. However it can be further away on some RV's.

Here is a link to a thread, where we discussed and showed some pics on where to look for the converter (If that is what indeed you are seeking)

As you enter the RV look for a louverd panel near the floor. The power center should be located behind it.
