Inverter Question In Our Georgetown

Hey Gang,

Not sure if I should put this here or under a Georgetown thread. We have a 2014 Georgetown 328 TSF.

Do you leave your inverter on (Residential Fridge) while plugged in at a campground? The reason for my question is if we happen to be out for the day and the campground looses power, will the inverter take over for the fridge as a back up if left turned on.

The second part to this question. if the inverter is left on while plugged in or while the generator is running will it burn up the inverter?

Moderator, If this thread should be moved over to the Georgetown section, please let us know.

Thanks everyone.

The inverter has a transfer switch on it, so it won't actually come on until you actually lose power.

X2 on that. No reason to shut it off, no load until needed.

That's great to know. I was worried about burning it up if I left it on while plugged in.

Thanks everyone.
