Just bought our first TT. Now what generator do we buy?

Just watched the "Micro-Air Easy Start ASY-364" youtube. Its a digital control soft start unit that claims to provide the lowest possible compressor start. The video shows a run comparison of the Supco SPP6 drawing 41amps startup and the EasyStart drawing only 17amps startup. Its a long video but very methodical, thorough and informative. The closeups are clear and well lit so even if you are looking to do a hard start Supco install (say for low power generator usage) still worth seeing. Looks like the video just posted a month or so ago.

PROS: Looks like a great product that does what it claims and video is very thorough (even if you just want to go the hard start way instead)
CONS: Expensive, new on market it sells for $318

I thought I read that Honda and Yamaha's are no longer made in Japan. I was set on spending the extra money but if they are now made in China how much better can they be?

Best generator is the new thermo nuclear third generation reactor. It costs a little more but is capable of generating 500,000 kw per cycle.

I seriously doubt your Hondas will fail as both Yamaha and Honda are top notch. The only reason I chose Yamaha over Honda was because the Yamaha had a fuel gauge and a 12v output to charge a 12v battery. At the time I bought it (several years ago) the Honda had neither.

This is very interesting but his test with and without the easystart are not linear. Although he said, a hard start would not reduce starting current, I beg to differ. My results showed the about same reduction as his clip on. I'm not sure it's worth the difference as my time and hard start was under $50.
