Just purchased LED lights for my TT

HI my fellow FR forum folks!! Just want to thank ya'll for all the tips I have learned on this forum!

So, I replaced all my interior lights from conventional T10-921 bulbs to these LED's . Let me tell ya, what a difference! I chose the Natural White for their brightness. And I chose the Samsung bulbs because of quality and reliability.

I turned on all 14 LED's in the trailer and the power inverter never kicked on! Took only two conventional bulbs to do that before!

Thanks all !!

I ordered and replaced the over head lights with LEDs over the winter. Was not thinking about the over the stove light (light bulb by fan). Can those be purchase at big box stores? If so, are they a simple plug and play type?

Theres no question that M4 sells top of the line stuff...arguably the best on the market, but my trailer has 31 bulbs on the inside alone...8 more outside not counting the running/tail lights. At $10 to $15 per bulb, M4 is simply out of my price range.

I have been experimenting with bulbs from China via eBay/Amazon and thanks to some helpful members here, have been very happy so far. These imported bulbs are $1-$4 each depending. I'm still looking for a good alternative to the 1141's in the exterior flood lights...may just remove the socket and wire in something else.

An awesome upgrade, especially if you dry camp or boon dock alot.. I don't know that I'll be proactive in replacing the marker lights and just do them as they need it..

What number is the wedge shape LED lights for the inside of the camper? I wouldn't have a problem spending $20 for a pack of ten.

Did you get the led's that are flat one sided or omnidirectional. I found the flat sided ones for $20.99 and wondered how that worked as far as light output. My fixtures have a reflector inside and wasn't sure if that would make full use of them or not.

We tried the flat ones first - not bright enough

Went to these...super bright now!Click image for larger version

I was looking for LED's that were as close to the original color of light as possible as I don't care for the white/blue look. I also was hoping for a bulb just a bit brighter than my originals. Given that criteria, I have been very pleased with these...

for the flush mounted ceiling fixtures with G4 sockets...
2W SMD 5050 5730 G4 LED RV camper Marine Light Cabinet Lamp Car Boat Home Bulb | eBay
I got both a 12 chip 5730, and a 15 chip 5730 in warm white...can barely tell the difference between the two, but the 15pc just barely edges out the other in brightness...both are brighter than the 10w G4 incandescent I replaced, but not by a bunch. The color is a perfect match. I trimed about 1/8 inch off of the pins to center the bulb in the fixture.

for our hanging pendant lamps that use 921's, we wanted cylindrical bulbs. I ordered one of these and love it.
1x T10 921 194 SMD Bulb DC12V Interior Light 30 5050 SMD LED Warm White T30B | eBay
It's a little more white vs the 921 but not much. It's significantly brighter too. I plan to get more of these but am waiting for a LED panel bulb for comparison as most of the rest of my fixtures can take either/or.
1pcs T10 921 AC DC 12 24V Warm White 24 5050 SMD LED Bulb Lamp Super Bright TYB | eBay

ALL credit for these finds go to other members here on FRF...I wish I could remember who they were.

YMMV!!

From what I have read, flat vs cylindrical can make a little difference in brightness/spread. But "they" say, how many chips and what size chips makes far more difference though.

Some good info here...M4 - Information about RV LED Lights and Rated Lumens

Yes - the flats only had 26 SMD chips on each

These new cylinder ones have 68 SMD on each - quite a difference

Our rig has dark cherry cabinets and dark grey counters with brown leather furniture so the brighter bulbs are an improvement !
