LCI remote control

2014 Wildcat Maxx 313RE with the six point electric leveling. I never really played with the remote control until recently I realized I could operate the front jacks with it! This would be so convenient for hooking and unhooking by myself! So I go to that function on the remote and....just a clicking noise from the control box. When I go the leveling function it doesn't even click, just silence. All the slides, the light, and the awning work fine. So I track down the remote control unit and low and behold the jacks are not even hooked up to it! It's the 8 function unit, but they only hooked up the 3 slides, awning, and light. Seems lame to not hook up all the things that are on the remote! I guess my question would be, has anyone done this and is it difficult? I'm fairly handy, but electrical stuff is still a little iffy to me!

If you're sure you have the 8 function unit, it's not too hard to wire the other functions and if you search around you can find out how to program the remote.

You have to run wiring from the individual equipment to the receiver. They also want you to run the negative of the equipment to the receiver. That's to prevent you from being able to press the 'Up' button on the remote and simultaneously press the 'Down' on the local button. However on our landing gear, the receiver wiring is just parallel to the local switch.

Thank you Bama for the reply, I definitely have the 8 function unit and see the directions for programming the remote. Now for the big question, do I look to run the wiring from the LCI leveling unit itself, or from the jack control unit where they are plugged into?

You run wires to the control unit. They basically hook parallel to the switch that controls the unit.
