Nice installation.

This stuff sort of gets complicated.

For my little install of GC-2s, I ended up having to run the jumper over half the length of the box. And I had to add a second wire to add the cut-off switch mounted on the end of the single battery box. Otherwise, I would have had to extend the wires coming from the camper which center feed into the box. I needed a 24" length for the jumper. I had bought an 18" and 24" from the local auto parts, and returned the one I didn't use. A lot easier (and cheaper) than buying a crimper and terminals for bigger than #10 wire.

But I don't run an inverter, my converter is 35A (PI 4135 replacement for the WFCO 8735P) so my cables are very rarely going to see more than 20 amps - and usually around 5 amps. The 4 ga pre-made wires at the auto parts are perfect for my application. Some day, I may upgrade the wiring from converter to battery from 8 gauge, and jumper the 2 ground-to-frame connections. But that's "some day".

Now that I think about it, the jumper might have to run from the from the 2 posts farthest apart. It may be necessary to turn one of the batteries around in order to make the cables supplied with the camper to reach the proper battery post. NJKris turn the batteries so the cable would have to reach the farthest then measure the length of cable needed, then add a little to get in and out of the boxes. If someone has the same unit that NJKris has on order, pictures of the battery boxes and cables would sure help. By thee way. I used 4/0 cable from the batteries to the frame and shut off, but only because I had them already. Jay

I can't imagine that Rockwood would supply two batt boxes, and not allow enough cable to connect to a battery in each one. So given this orientation depicted, I can't imagine more than 18" would be necessary, right?
