lights out in bedroom

Was using the bedroom lights in my 2013 282RKX when suddenly all the lights went out. Did check the 2 reading lights by the bed. They too are not working. The winnguard sensor meter is not working. All ac plugs do work. Now I have a red light on the converter panel next to the 15 amp fuse for the bedroom. I pulled the fuse and its blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew that fuse with the lights off. I must have a short somewhere, but where.
Any ideas I can do before it goes to the RV doctor?

Tim

I would start with the light you were using.
Turn OFF all power, disconnect the battery and then test to make SURE all the power is off.
Pull it and check the wires on the back.
Run a continuity test on the switch.
Do you smell any thing like warm or burnt plastic?

No smell. The wires behind the switch are really short. Did check and it was good. The over head lights in bedroom are on one switch. The two reading lights on either side of the bed are out too. Strange.

Just my experience this last spring.....All of a sudden while on a camping trip the bedroom lights went out. Checked breakers, fuses, bulbs in 4 lights. Decided it would be something for dealer to look at. An hour later we were sitting at a neighbors trailer and looked under our bedroom slide and saw what looked strange. Investigated and found wires were wrapped around the slide mechanism and the wires were pinched and broken. The power wire to the bedroom lights came from under the trailer, out under the slide, and up the slide wall to the light fixtures. A stop at O'Reillys auto parts store for some connecters and electrical tape, and 30 minutes later all was well.
The slide had gone in and out enough times and pinched the wires inside the plastic sleeve until they were pinched in two.
Hope your issue might be something as simple.

OK looked all around the slide inside and out, no exposed wires. Looked under the bed for wires, none. Gets me. Its off to the RV doctor as soon as I get my truck back from the shop. Getting a new radiator, it a 2013 model. When it rains it pours.
I will let everybody know what the service folks did when I know.
Thanks for all the advise.
HAPPY NEW YEAR Ya'll

Well tomorrow I will pick up my WC 282RKX. Will find out and post reason for the bedroom lights going out. Service Tech said all was covered under warranty, Happy with that.
