No I've haven't had the generator started. Just changed the battery to make sure and still same results. Check voltage at the external power source coming in ahowed 120 volts. So I've pretty much led myself to believe it's the inverter

OK, I just realized you have a generator onboard. It's possible your problems are being caused by a bad transfer switch.

This video explains it in principle. You may want to do a forum search on the transfer switch as we have had many threads on them:

Ok so I have an update. Checked both converters and they showed 13.6 volts. Show 110 at the plug and I checked the transfer switches and the Load side shows 120 and shoreline does as well. Genorator will not read anything. since the lights and everything will work until the larger load is applied does that mean that switch is bad or would it be something else. Y'all have been a great help by the way!!!!

Also checked the coil and the Genorator didn't show any voltage on either hot
