New to forum-battery charge level indicator

Help! Not sure how to post yet...
I have a 2008 Rockwood Roo. I'm trying to figure out if my battery is fully charged or almost empty. What do the letters C G F L. Mean on the indicator?

C - Charging
G - Good
F - Fair
L - Low

Note: When the "G" light GOES OUT - you are about 50% charged and you should recharge to battery to avoid permanent damage (permanently reduced capacity).

You MUST recharge when the "F" goes out because permanent damage IS occurring.

The L will be on even with a horribly destroyed battery.
(6 VOLTS! will keep this lit)

(Open Circuit Voltage is a "rested battery" meaning you have removed the ground wire from the negative terminal for 24 hours before taking a reading with a digital volt meter.)

Welcome to FRF!

I moved your thread to a better subforum. You were fine in the "Welcome" area but this will give it more exposure.

Herk answered your question. My advice is to also buy a multimeter and learn a bit on how to use it and make sure to carry it with you on your trips. Its more accurate than the dummy lights on our panels. Just take the MM and check the battery for a better gauge of its state of charge.

Try not to drop below 50% SOC or 12.1Vdc.
