So who is "they wired 240 volt instead of 120 volts"?
The trailer dealer?
The RV Parks shore power?

Who's going to pay for all the damage?

I would plug the surge protector in first and check the poll - if it checks out ok by the inidactor lights then I would turn the breaker off - hook up the trailer and you should be golden.
