No Brake Light or running lights

I was moving the TT yesterday and noticed after the sun went down that the running lights did not come on, but did on my TV.

The signal & hazard lights work.

I've tested the TV output and all is working. Where do I start on the TT. I've checked the fuses and cannot recognize anything related to the clearance light or other electrical associated.

Thanks in advance.

Glen

Don't know if it is the same as your problem but one time one tail light on our trailer wouldn't work. The problem was one of the metal prongs in the trailer plug in connector needed bent just a little to make contact wit the truck plug in.Did this with my pocket knife.Worked great ever since.

Thanks,

No brake lights either, yet both signals work. I was thinking a connection, but brake light operate from a different circuit than running lights do.

Checked all the fuses in the TT and TV. Used a diagnostic tool on the TV connector and all circuits work when the brake pedal is pressed. Even the electric brakes worked when I towed the TT yesterday.

This may sound stupid but did ya check the bulbs?

Most "newer" vehicles have separate fuses for the towed vehicle.
You may have checked fuses for tv and not fuses for trailer.

Also if none of the above apply follow your wire harness under camper and you'll find a junction box and quite possibly a fuse.
Make sure all the wires are connected there.

Thanks Ron,

LOL I was thinking that after posting. How could that many of them not work, but I pulled a few out and tested with a battery and they work.

Brake & Signal use the same wires. I've used a battery to check the trailer harness and I've got the running lights working this way, so it must be a problem with the TV. I'll have a look at the manual for the TV and see if there is a separate fuse system for the trailer harness.

Thanks,
Glen

I think mine are too..

My question though is, he said that everything tests fine at the plug on the TV. This would eliminate a fuse issue on the TV.

EDIT: missed last post about using a battery to test TT lights

Thanks,

Found the problem. The fuse was under the hood, only a 100 of them and you can't tell which is blown, had to read the guide
2nd problem was the harness for the trailer. The ground connector was not making contact properly. Pinched that together and everything worked great.

Good to hear your up and running!
Sorry I missed it but I was under the impression that the tail lights only were not working and not all the marker lights .
My bad.
Have fun!

No problem, thanks for the follow up.

The turn signals worked witch through me, but no brake lights, or so I thought.
