I have a Wildwood 27RKSS which is identical to your Salem. I just looked under my trailer and there are two resetable circuit breakers next to the junction box.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for the reply.
yes, I'm aware of the circuit breakers, tested voltages on both terminals and am getting 12+ volts on both sides of the breakers. . .

Hi Joe,
I checked the negative battery to the frame. All is tight. I tested the negative side with a # 12 wire as you suggested, got 0 volts. So I did the reverse with the wire on the + post, positive side of meter connected to the wire. Wa-la, 12 volts touching the white wire and the ground terminal with the - meter. That tells me that the open is on the + side, right?
Now what?
Dan

No, I'm wrong on the previous post. I DO have an open ground, right?

Fixed the 12 volt lighting problem

Hi Folks,
Thanks for all of your suggestions during the past couple weeks. I'm the guy with the 12 volt lights, pump etc. that didn't work. After relentless testing, and checking the continuity of the mini breaker connected to the battery under the trailer, I decided to replace the breaker. It had checked out as being continuous, but I figured, what the heck, I'll change it out for a whopping $9.60 I have nothing to lose. WALA! Everything works now.

Just thought I'd let those that tried to help me out know. . .

Thanks for posting what you found. It just shows that sometimes even though things test good, they can still be the problem.

Thank you for posting the resolution to your problem. Wish more would do that. More vital info in your single post here than the 23 posts in your original problem post. Funny that you mentioned the breaker in your first post and that's what it ended up being.
Glad you got things fixed

The site team has moved the solution posts to this thread it pertained to in order to keep the continuity.

My 2¢...My trailer has a 30A inline fuse holder adjacent to the circuit breaker near the junction box on the frame. When I shorted something on the monitor panel this fuse blew. Until I changed the fuse I had voltage in the coach from the converter but not the battery.
