Onan 5500 vs Honda Gen ??

Still gathering info ......

How many have built in Onan Gen ???

...and how many have portable Honda Gen ?? What size ??

How often do you use your Gen ??

Now do you feel it was worth the cost ??

Thanks

Honda EU3000is. Had it for 3 years and it has about 40hrs run time. I love the unit except the weight and the fact it sits too high for my bed cover to close on my truck so I need to chain the genny into the truck bed as well as cover it in bad weather. Pricey yes but it still fires up within a few revolutions of the electric starter even in very cold weather so IMO worth every cent. Also powers anything we can throw at it including running the air and coffee maker at the same time.

We have no power at our RV park.......most of us use Yamaha 3000 invertors, lots of power for everything.........used mostly at night until bedtime and in the morning for breakfast. I also use solar panels to keep my 2 12 volt batteries charged up. Works great and had no issues.
