Overhead light switches are stuck

About 2 weeks ago one of the over head light switches in my 2010 forest river got stuck and won't budge. Now another one started doing it today. I don't know what is causing this. When you try to press the switch the light will flicker but not go completely off. I'm not really sure if this is safe, as I am staying in the camper right now and don't won't some fire starting because of something faulty. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

I assume that you still have the incandescent lamps in the fixtures, and the switch is between the lamps. If so, the heat from them has most likely affected the switch operation.

I'd suggest replacing the affected fixtures with new fixtures and LED lamps and I'd go ahead and replace the rest of the lamps with LED's before they start having a problem.

I had to replace two (the ones I use the most) of mine last year in my 2011. Got them on Amazon.

The switches are probably melting inside because of the current draw of the overhead lights.

As mentioned either change the overhead lights out to LED's or remove some of the bulbs from the lights so only a few work on that particular circuit.

In either case you WILL have to replace the bad switches.

This started happening to me with regular bulbs. Eventually there would be no flicker. When I took out the fixture you could see what looked like brown burn marks on bulbs. I switched everything to LED.
