Parallel (2) Honda EU2000I which method is better

I don't mean to be running this thread in the ground, but I'm trying to determine which setup is the best. (2) regular EU2000I's with a parallel kit that attaches to one generator, or (1) regular EU2000I and (1) EU2000I Companion. pros and cons ....
My Windjammer has a 50A plug and I know not to run both AC's with either one of these setups. Also what additional plugs and/or adapters will I need.

Me personally, I'd go with the companion setup. The exact same thing as the original twin setup with external parallel kit, but in a smaller, easier to manage package.

You'll need the 50A to 30A twist lock generator adapter.

You should already have a way to adapt 50A to 15A. If not, I'm using a 50A to 30A RV plug adapter, then a 30A to 15A adapter to finish it.

They make a short 50A to 15A pigtail that plugs straight into the 50A connector on the side of the RV, that's my next purchase so that I won't need to drag the 50A cord out and all those adapters. A 25 or 50ft extension cord rated for 20A should so the trick.

Thank you SKnight, That's the setup I will go with and use the 50A to 30A twist lock generator adapter, but you also mention adapting down to 15A when would you use just the 15A. I was thinking the 50A to 30A would be all I need all the time. again thanks...

One you get them do this test, I'm guessing that it will have full voltage.

With only the companion running try your microwave to see if it overloads. From a load aspect a single EU2000i can fully run a camper except for the AC, electric water heater and your fireplace on full. The electric water heater and fireplace on high draw 1200-1300 watts each so it would run one or the other, but there's not much energy left.

For some reason mine didn't like running the microwave on one genset through the 30A plug, but the same genset did fine plugged into the 15A outlet.

I'm thinking that the inverter unit sensed that the parallel kit was plugged in and expected half the load to be taken up by the other genset which wasn't there.

If you're like me you're going to play with the new toys, I did. Only I didn't test the microwave on one genset through the parallel adapter. Yours being a companion might be different, allowing you all 13.3 available amps through the 30A adapter. If it works for you I might sell mine and buy a companion.

What? Where did that come from? I'm trying to help you figure out your problem. You shut one of them down, the other failed. I get that. You DID NOT test all of the failure modes - which I just listed.

You're not listening. I found it didn't run well with one genset feeding the 30A plug. I went from the 30A plug to the 15A plug on the same genset and all was well. I also confirmed that with both it runs the AC effortlessly along with feeding the microwave. It was only one genset from the beginning, always was one single genset. You're latched onto that I was on both, shut one down and had problems.

Thus, you're not listening.

If I get really industrious I'll swap the parallel kit to the other genset to eliminate the final scenario, will the microwave run through the parallel kit on that genset with only one running, but that's not likely to happen anytime soon.
