Parallelling Honda gennys

Anybody know if I can use the standard Honda parallalling wiring kit to connect an EU2000i with an EU1000i?

I don't believe you can parallel different sizes together.

That would be sweet. I have a 1000 and just ordered a 2000 - it would be nice if I didn't have to sell the smaller unit.

Let me know if you are able to test it.

X2 on Wise Sales. We bought our pair of 2000s from them.

Well the reply says you can only parallel two of the same model and size inverters...
So does the owners manual on the 2000...

Bikendan - I'd like to know where you saw the odd pairing would work so I could look into it further.

Thanks,
Glenn

Im pretty sure you can not mis match them. Lets say you have a 2000 and a 1000 for a total of 3000 watts in parallel, if you are pulling 3000 watts it would be split between the two generators. Therefore, overloading the 1000 by 500 Watts.

I have mixed sizes with no issue. Also hooked more then 2 up. Honda and Yamaha together also. The inverter matches the sign waves at start up and thy supply power as needed. 1k and a 2k should work great together.

Note: non inverter type generates will not match up and you will have a failure
