I bought a hardwired EMS for our camper too. The EMS is mounted in the compartment where the power convertor is and I mounted the remote display in the little cubby above the fridge where we normally keep bread and chips. It's out of the way but can be seen when needed.
I like having it a lot. All I have to do is check the voltage and polarity with my meter then plug in the camper. It has done it's job once and shut off power when voltage went too low (older campground and too many A/C's on nearby).
