Is this because it was only a 30 amp service or do you think something is wrong. I know the dealer said we couldn't run the fireplace unless we were hooked up to 50 amp but I assumed if all we had was 30 amp everything wlse would work.
I'm assuming you were plugged into 30 amp service and you have a UL listed adapter in good working order.

I plugged my 30 amp to 50 amp adapter into the power pedestal here at the RV park and plugged the Silverback into the adapter. Everything worked in our trailer on both sides while using only 30 amps. The A/C worked, the microwave worked, the fridge switched back over to electric, the television worked, and I plugged a hair dryer into each of the outlets. Everything worked, just not at the same time of course.

You might check the circuit breakers and make sure it isn't something as simple as a tripped breaker.

When I plug my 50 amp motorhome into a 30 amp supply, everything works but I have to be careful that DW doesn't run more than 30 amps worth of stuff. Like both A/C units and the microwave.

So far 30 amps has not been an issue.

Speaking of opening the pedistal box, ever stand there in the rain with your shore power cord in one hand, looking at the pedistal, hoping that the electrician was having a good day or that that old box and wiring hadn't deteriorated to the point that as soon as you go to open the box you're not going to get knocked on your ass?

You might check to see if a GFCI outlet need to be reset also.

First weekend camping and of course it rained but that's normal for us. Did have an issue at the electrical box and once that was fixed the other side of the camper worked. Looked at the converter and noticed that the circuit breaker to the air conditioner was in the off position-so turned it on. Now when you turn the furnace on the air conditioner comes on-not supposed to do that so flipped it off again. So DH will call forest river and/or the dealer tomorrow to see whats going on
