Progressive Industries EMS-PT30C gets hot

I have a PT30C and plugged in at home with and adapter on my 120v circuit. I noticed after it being on for several hours the top of the case where the rv cord plugs in gets very hot to the touch. Is this normal?

We use the same unit 24/7/365 if the wheels arnt roll'in. Yes our gets warm, even the top cable mount is a little deformed upwardly by a 1/8 inch from sitting in the GA sun for three years. but with lifetime warr let her run. did opt for a padlock instead of the supplied alum security tag.. take a look at my album for the padlock that will fit the cable well...

Progressive recommends raising the ems off the floor so it has free air under it because they do get hot, it's normal.
