Progressive Surge Protector Placement

I just purchase a 2016 Sunseeker MBS 2400W and want to hardwire my surge protector. Does anyone know if and how to put the device in the storage compartment next to the plug-in for external power. I have trouble trying to find out where the main line goes through the motorhome. Is there an inside location that would be easier to place it?

You could put it under the bed. Un-snap the mattress and remove the plywood. You should then see the transfer switch for the shore power and generator. You can then connect either to the shore power feed or on the output side. Connecting to the output side would protect power from both the generator and the parks electric while connecting to the shore power would only detect problems with the RV parks electrical system.
