Just put one on my Mini-lite. If you have a two speed fan on your A/C, you'll either need to pick one speed or the other, OR install a small single pole single throw (spst) switch to allow you to switch speeds. I'm attaching pics of my install and a wiring diagram.
In the 2nd pic, you can see that there are 3 slots on the piece on the right (opposite the small spst switch). I had to cut these out to make a larger hole, as you can see in the 3rd pic. Ultimately, I had to enlarge this all the way down to the switch hole below it, but it's easy to do.
Another alternative to the spst switch in the thermostat is to install a spst rocker switch in the wall next to the thermostat. Here's an example of a rocker switch and wall plate that will work:

I'm considering it, as I think I overheated the spst switch when I soldered the wires on it, and it's a bit "touchy."
Thanks for the quick reply. Had trouble with the heater but believe it a problem with the stat. Don't want to spend 60 bucks though to find out. This looks like a reasonable one for the trailer.
If I were you I would replace the switch but use crimp (automotive) fittings on the wire. Stay clear of solder on "cheap" switches unless you have a very low wattage iron. You can get everything at Radio Shack or a good auto parts store.

I got the spst switch you see at Radio Shack. But it's very small and you have to solder the wires on. I was using a low wattage soldering iron, but sometimes you just mess it up.
We've only been out once since I installed it, so we'll see how it goes. If it's still squirrelly, I'm going with the rocker switch.

The rocker is the better switch. A lot of what RS sells is junk but there are not a lot of places to buy that type of thing anymore.
About 30 years ago I met a big wig from RS. At the time I was rebuilding a few ham radios for a friend. I told him as far as I was concerned that RS sold a lot of junk ! A friend of mine went thru 4 multi-meters before we found him a good one. I will never forget what he told me!

I just ordered this unit from Amazon: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ilpage_o06_s00 as it was a direct replacement for the analog OEM Coleman thermostat. You can get it other places but check the numbers on the back of your analog thermostat and then check to see if the new digital is made as a replacement. Wires connected the same, 5 minutes and it works SOOOO much better! As my TT is still under warranty I didn't really want to kill the warranty by taking a chance on making a home thermostat work. But then again, that is just me. I figure for the money I have in this thing another $75 isn't going to sink me and I will know it will work.

The Coleman-Mach (RVP) thermostat catalog is here and most models have a replacement compatibility list. I also found that if you look them up on the http://www.makariosrv.com/rv-thermostats/ site, the descriptions are a pretty good compatibility reference - they even have a guide.

As my TT is still under warranty I didn't really want to kill the warranty by taking a chance on making a home thermostat work. But then again, that is just me. I figure for the money I have in this thing another $75 isn't going to sink me and I will know it will work.
