Joe, I have a few questions.

Is your water heater element 200 VAC? or is the reason you are not using it is (what I think) it throws you over 30 amps total usage and trips the 30 amp breaker on the pedestal or overloads your generator.

Do all your circuits work with the cord you bought?

I would love to see how they wired it. I wonder if they tied the two (camper side) hots of a 50 amp service to the single hot of a 30 amp service.

Lou, Redracer,
What I was asking about & what I ended-up purchasing, was just a very long adapter cord. Most people buy two foot adapters, mine is 35 feet. Somehow I think other posters got the impression that I was re-wiring, although I don't think I ever mentioned that. I can't imagine that I will ever need the 50a cord unless the we have the second air conditioner installed (it's pre-wired). I just wanted the 30a cord because it is much more portable & in this part of the country, I can't remember the last time I stayed at a prk that had 50a available. The 30a cord seems to run everything except I didn't try it on the water heater ... I ran gas that weekend.

I do appreciate everyone's input though some good reading and educational.
