Replacing the trailer end pigtail

I have a 2005 19' Wildwood. I recently cut the pigtail (I think that is what it is called) that is wired to the trailer by making too sharp of a turn. I need to know what I can do to replace this. Is it something I can do myself or should I take it somewhere to have it done. I looked and the wire goes into a conduit under the trailer and looks like it runs to the brakes and to the tail lights.

Thanks
Greg

You should be able to do it if you follow the color code and only unhook one wire at a time and connect the new wire before going to the 2nd wire.

It is an easy fix. You might want to make the cord a bit longer so it will not get damaged again. There are several post on the site that show how to wire the trailer plug.

Easy DIY job.
Here is one replacement--
7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector, 8' Long Hopkins Wiring H20046

You can google and maybe find one a little cheaper..... but that price
isn't too bad.

This would be a smart purchase. You would only have to splice the wires together.
