Reset time on EMS surge protector

I have a 2015 Hemisphere 282rk with a 15k btu ac by Dometic (I think).

I recently installed an EMS by progressive industries. It will cut the power to the trailer during power surges. By default power is restored within 15 seconds but the owners manual says that I can change that to 2 minutes if my AC shouldn't be restarted that quickly. I'm paraphrasing here but those with an EMS know what I'm talking about.

So can I leave the EMS at the default 15 seconds?

Thanks

As long as your a/c recovers in that 15 seconds I'd leave it.
You can put a hard start capacitor in the a/c to help this.
iirc you cut a wire inside unit for the longer duration.

Read your a/c or thermostat manual and find out what if any time delay they have built in for power loss/restarting. My dometic unit has a two minute delay built in so I run the 15 sec delay on the ems

My hard wired 50 amp Progressive didn't come with the time delay jumper. When I apply power it takes about 10 to 15 seconds and it engages. Luckily both my A/C units have 5 minute delays built in so its ok.

The directions say to move it to 2 minutes if there isn't a delay on the ac. The EMS is set to 15 seconds at factory. I don't know what the time delay is on ac

I realize that. Didn't want to set to 2 min if I didn't have to.

Thanks
